To become an authorized OSHA trainer in the Construction Industry you must have completed the 500 Trainer Course. The pre-requisites for this course are:
• Five years of construction safety experience. (Two years of experience may be substituted with a college degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation, in the applicable training area).
• Completion of the pre-requisite 510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry Course

• Five years of general industry safety experience. (Two years of experience may be substituted with a college degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation, in the applicable training area).
